Sarah Smith Cardiology is a specialist veterinary cardiology clinic. Based on both the clinic data and what owners describe in reviews, it appears set up for referral-style heart investigations and ongoing management, including cardiac scans and long-term medication plans for conditions like cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure. Owners repeatedly mention being able to phone for advice (calls answered or returned), getting clear, tailored explanations of test results, and being booked in for a scan within a few days in at least one urgent case. The clinic data also lists emergency veterinary services and that it is a veterinary nurse training facility.

I would just like to say a heart warming thank you for Sarah and her team for quickly establishing what was wrong with my Freya and for putting her on a treatment plan upon discovery that made her feel so much better in herself after a rough few months of investigation from my own vets . Although my freyas prognosis isn't great and due to Sarah being direct with me upon discovery of her illness I'm under no illusion that my time with her is limited , but from their advice and medication it is at least allowing me to have that bit longer with her and for that I will be forever greatful. My calls are always answered if I'm unsure of anything or they ring back as soon as they pick up I have called , they are attentive to every aspect of my dog and also myself . Since going to see Sarah she's been like a new dog . Thank you so much to all of you. Fantastic team of people .

We brought our Chihuahua, Bambi to Sarah, due to cardiac issues. I can’t thank them enough for their excellent care. Without their help, I feel he would no longer be with us. They are a fantastic practice, filled with friendly staff who are all exceptionally experienced. Many thanks Judy Clowes

I have been to Sarah Smith Cardiology clinic on two occasions. The first one was a routine check up after a heart murmur was picked up at a routine check and the second was after my cat Alfie had gone into congestive heart failure due to his cardiomyopathy. On both occasions, the care has been exemplary. I am able to call for advice when needed. Dr Ruth the vet is great and she listens to you and gives explanations in a clear way. She tailors the explanation in a way that you can understand. The nurses and other team members also care greatly for the animals that they look after. On the second visit, I was able to book in for a scan within a few days. They advised me to take my cat to my local vet for diuretics. After a emotional day at the vets for pets on the Friday, I was advised to put my cat down. I decided against that course of action and took my cat home to care for him over the weekend. On the Monday, I took him to Sarah Smith Cardiology clinic and Dr Ruth was able to scan his heart and gave me a solid plan. She listened to me when I told her that my cat was not eating and gave me the medications that he needed to help his heart. I am writing this review a week after I was advised to put him down and he is doing so well. Alfie is back to his normal self, asking for food and socialising. He is looking great and can jump up as he did before. They can really work miracles. I can't thank them enough for the extra time they have given me with my cat.

Katie has been looking after our furry family member (Stripe) since he collapsed with congestive heart failure two years ago now. She gave him scans and knew what the problem was straight away, treated him & prescribed medication that she knew would help…………..and two years later, he’s still right as rain ! We have check up scans every six months to keep an eye on his heart condition, but so far so good. I CANNOT thank you enough and I literally couldn’t recommend any other animal cardiologist ! Thank you

Just been for the first time to Sarah Smith Cardiology and it’s just outstanding. What was a very stressful day was made so much easier with such a lovely team. Everyone was reassuring, compassionate and more than happy to answer any questions and throughly explain what was going on during the test and results. They are absolutely animal lovers through and through and it shows. I felt that you were treating my Chester as if he was your own dog. I can’t thank you enough. I feel such full confidence that whatever happens in the future with Chester’s heart, I have the best team around him. I’m so happy I pushed for the referral to you and would encourage anyone to do the same if you have the choice too. You should be so proud of your practice and team ♥️ Chester says woof woof which I think means (thank you Ruth and Kathryn!) and we’ll see you in 6 months.
